SECTION III - WELL ASSIGNMENT:

1. Well applications will be only accepted from Wyandotte Yacht Club Regular Members. Their accounts must be in good standing with all dues, house accounts, and club charges current. Applications for wells must be submitted up to 10:00 PM of the Skipper's Meeting. The Skipper's Meeting has been designated as the Wednesday immediately preceding well bidding..

2. The last Sunday in January has been designated as the day for the purpose of well bidding and well assignments.

3. When the well application is submitted, fifty (50) per cent of the well fee must be submitted with the application.

3.1. Well Fees are determined by the length of the boat or the size of the well, which ever is greater.

4. Boat size must meet the following requirements:

4.1. Well size, current or past LOA boat size, is restricted to minimum 90% fill rate and can not exceed the length of the well except where approved by the Dock Committee and Board. Boats that do not meet these requirements will have to move to the next available well that meets the requirements of their boat. Wells are at the discretion of Dock Committee with Board approval.

4.2. Length of boat is measured by overall length and not titled length (LOA).

5. Access under the bridge to the West wells and launch ramp is the owner's responsibility and not the Wyandotte Yacht Club.

6. Current well holders who bid on a larger well with their current boat will have until the next well bidding to buy a new boat to fill the well. If they don't buy the boat, they will have to move to the next available smaller well when available smaller well is available.

7. Points are awarded for the purpose of well bidding and awarded as follows:

7.1. Two (2) Well Points are awarded for each year of well assignment.

7.2. Well points have priority for bidding purposes over membership or seniority date.

7.3. Where the number of well points of the members bidding for the same well are equal, seniority date will be used to determine the well assignment.

7.4. Where two or more members bid on the same well and have the same number of well points and the same date of membership, the flip of the coin will be used to determine who is assigned the well.

8. Members with well points who do not bid on and receive a well for two (2) consecutive years shall forfeit all well points. A well will be considered occupied when all well fees are paid.

9. Individuals who terminate their membership in the Wyandotte Yacht Club lose all well points. Upon rejoining, they are considered to be new members unless reinstated by the Board of Directors.
10. Refund of moneys paid for well fees:

10.1. If an Applicant is not awarded a well assignment, the full deposit submitted shall be refunded.

10.2. If an assigned well is relinquished in writing by or before April 1st the refundable amount shall be seventy-five (75) per cent of the total well fee, with the amount of refund calculated on the deposit received.

10.3. If the well is relinquished in writing by or before May 1st, the refundable amount shall be based on fifty (50) per cent of the total well fee, with the refundable amount calculated on the amount of deposit received.

10.4. No refund will be given after May 1st.

(ANY REQUEST FOR REFUND OF MONIES PAID FOR A WELL ASSIGNMENT MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING TO THE FLEET CAPTAIN. NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE FOR THE RELINQUISHING OF WELLS WHEN REQUESTS ARE MADE AFTER MAY 1ST.)

11. When a boat is owned by more than one (1) person the regular member whose name appears on the well application is considered the well holder of record and will be awarded the well points. It is the responsibility of that person for the work hours and any and all other requirements of a well holder.

12. The lessee of a well must be a owner of the boat that is to occupy the Well. Proof of current ownership and insurance shall be on record in the club office, in the form of a certificate of title or in such a method that is acceptable to establish clear and legal ownership.

13. Should the assigned well holder relinquish his/her well, that well may be reassigned through established well bidding procedures.

14. Wells that become open after the initial bidding shall be posted on the club bulletin board for seven (7) consecutive days, during which time all interested members may make application. The Dock Committee shall make the well assignment from those applicants through the prescribed methods of well points and seniority.

15. If a well holder sells his/her boat, the new owner must vacate the well within seven (7) days.

16. Wells will not be reassigned between September 1st and the first Sunday following the skipper's Meeting.

17. During the period between December 1st through April 1st, no boat will be allowed to remain, or to be brought into the bay unless approved by the Dock Committee and the Board of Directors,

18. No member shall lease more than one (1) well.
